Alp Arslan The Great Seljuk series is based on the life story of the heroic Muslim warrior Sultan Muhammad.'Muhammad Alp Arslan. His real name is 'Muhammad Beg Bin Daud Chagri'. He is the third sultan of the Seljuk dynasty and the great-grandson of the Seljuks. Sultan Muhammad of the great Seljuk Empire is a familiar figure in Islamic history. He won a battle against the Crusader Byzantines in 1071 at the historic Malazgird Maidan, opening the way for all Turks to settle in Anatolia. He was given the title “Alp Arslan” meaning the brave lion for his incredible bravery. Sultan Alp Arslan earned the title 'Alp Arslan' for his military prowess, valor and fighting prowess. It means "valiant lion" in Turkic and Turkmen languages. His real name is Muhammad. During his reign he emerged as the sole emperor of Persia from Amuadria to the Tigris.
The defeat of the Byzantines by the forces of Sultan Muhammad Alp Arslan enabled the Muslims, led by the Seljuks, to dominate the territories of the first Roman emperors and take the first decisive steps to Turkify Asia Minor. After losing the battle, Sultan Alp Arslan offered the Byzantine emperor an opportunity to negotiate a treaty without killing him. According to the terms of the treaty, the emperor obtained his release on the promise of marrying his daughter to the sultan's son, paying an annual tribute, and freeing Muslim captives.
The Roman emperor agreed to pay 10 lakhs as ransom and 360,000 gold coins as annual revenue. After Sultan Alp Arslan conquered the kingdom, he gave the rulership of Asia Minor to his uncle Kutalmish's son Sulayman. A shrewd and efficient ruler, Suleiman extended his empire to the Hellespont in the north and the Mediterranean in the west, and forced the Byzantine emperor to pay tribute. He then established his capital in the city of Nicaea in Bithynia. But, when Bithynia was conquered in 1084 AD during the Crusades, he established an empire in Asia Minor i.e. Iconium or Rome in Anatolia. And later the Seljuk Sultanate of Rome had its roots here. Sultan Alp Arslan established the Seljuk Empire and set a shining example of kingdom expansion.
Historian Ibn Asir said, Arslan was a generous, magnanimous, wise, just, pious, kind and benevolent ruler. He moved the capital of the Seljuk Empire from Marv to Ispahan. Finally, in 1073 AD, Alp Arslan, the lion of the Seljuks, was wounded in a surprise attack by a rebel who had been sentenced to death. It is known that Alp Arslan was married three times and has 12 children at home. Alp Arslan's worthy son, Melikshah, later became the Sultan of the Seljuks. The Battle of Manjikard, which took place in 1071 AD during the reign of Sultan Alp Arslan, is of immense importance in the history of Islam. As a result of this war, the Muslim Turks were able to establish their dominance in Asia Minor. Turkification in Asia Minor was not only conducive to the spread of the Islamic state and religion, but also ensured the subsequent emergence of the Ottoman Turks and was considered the first step in the conquest of Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire.
